What to Expect
Step One: All new patients will speak with either the office manager or the doctor over the phone to get an understanding of our office and what testing information will be required.
Step Two: Upon arrival you will be asked for the new patient packet along with a copy of your ID. You will then have a one-on-one consultation to discuss your health problems and concerns. We will review your medical history. You will be given orders for blood work to take to our contracted lab. Blood work takes about eight to ten business days to return to the office. During this time you will complete a 5-day food log which you must bring to your next appointment.
Step Three: You will receive a phone call from the office to schedule an appointment to go over the Blood Tests and we will remind you to bring your food log.
Step Four: You will have a one-on-one appointment with Dr. Hilby to review the Blood Tests and have a complete neurological and physical examination.
Step Five: Please bring a spouse, partner or anyone who is involved in decisions about your care.
You will meet with Dr. Hilby for a follow-up on how you are feeling after the neurological and physical examinations as well as receive a recommendation for a treatment plan as she deems necessary for your care. You will meet with either the office manager or Dr. Hilby to discuss your financial care plan.
Step Six: If you accept and sign off on your plan, care will begin. Financials will be settled before treatment begins. Several financing options are available to all our patients. Additional explanation will be given on the different types of treatments that are available in the office.
You have the responsibility to accurately and completely provide to the doctor all the health information they need including any medications that you are taking. Do not ‘edit’ your health history, thinking particular information is not needed and can be left out. We need ALL pieces of the puzzle.
You have the responsibility to follow the directions of the doctor regarding diet, supplementation and programs.
You have the responsibility to inform the doctor if you do not understand any directions given to you or if you do not understand the course of treatment planned for you.
You have the responsibility to timely pay all medical bills which are not in dispute and to forward to us any monies you receive from any insurance company for our services.
Your payments are due at the time services are rendered.
